Amman, Nov. 14 (Petra)-- The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) reaffirmed today the strength and continuity of Jordan’s strategic partnership with BIGO Technology, highlighting a shared commitment to advancing digital innovation, developing local talent, and expanding regional collaboration.

The renewed commitment was announced on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s official visit to Singapore. During the visit, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat met with BIGO’s leadership to outline the next stage of cooperation.

The discussions underscored a longstanding and productive relationship that has helped position Jordan as a regional hub for digital growth.

BIGO, which operates offices in Amman and Irbid, has become a key contributor to Jordan’s rapidly growing digital economy. The company employs an increasing number of Jordanian professionals and serves as a major operational center for markets across the Middle East and North Africa reflecting Jordan’s strong appeal as a destination for digital investment and innovation-led employment.

The partnership is now set to enter a new phase with the rollout of the BIGO Incubation Program – 2026 Roadmap, an initiative designed to connect Singaporean technology companies with Jordan’s digital ecosystem. The program will facilitate knowledge exchange, co-creation, and investment opportunities.

Implemented in collaboration with Jordan Source and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), the initiative will include mentorship programs, ecosystem-immersion activities, and joint digital campaigns.

Minister Smeirat emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating: "BIGO’s deep-rooted presence in Jordan reflects the success of our national strategy to build a vibrant, globally connected digital ecosystem. This partnership continues to create new opportunities for our youth, enhance our innovation capacity, and solidify Jordan’s role as a bridge for digital collaboration between the Middle East and Asia." The MoDEE–BIGO collaboration has already resulted in notable achievements, including the success of Klean Kinetics a tech startup that emerged through earlier cooperation phases and continues to thrive within Jordan’s innovation landscape.

Looking ahead, Jordan Source will work closely with BIGO to broaden the partnership’s impact through expanded digital outreach, global webinars, and ecosystem immersion programs aimed at attracting more international technology companies to consider Jordan as their regional base.

The reaffirmed partnership underscores Jordan’s long-term commitment to strengthening global cooperation, promoting digital investment, and cultivating the talent that will support the nation’s digital economy in the years ahead.
